이 작업은 사진가 김희진의 시리즈 「金順喆 김순철」에서 영감을 받아 출발했다.
아버지의 생애를 담았지만 사진 속에 그는 부재인 것처럼, 이 작업 역시 사진 속에 그녀는 등장하지 않는다.

젊은 나이에 세상을 떠난 한 여성을 떠올리며, 나는 존재하지 않는 그녀의 시간을 상상하는 방식으로 사진 작업을 진행했다.
만약 그녀가 살아 있었다면 어떤 시간을 살았을지, 어떤 모습으로 존재했을지를 가정하고, 그녀일 수 있었던 여러 사람들의 모습에 그 가능성을 투영했다.

이 사진들은 한 개인의 초상이기보다, 끝내 겪지 못하고 멈춰진 그녀의 삶과 시간을 기록한다.

This project takes its point of departure from photographer Kim Hee-jin’s series Kim Sun-cheol (金順喆).
While the series reflects on the life of the artist’s father, his presence is deliberately absent from the images.
Similarly, this work approaches its subject through absence rather than representation.

The project focuses on a woman who passed away at a young age.
By imagining the time that no longer exists for her, I construct a photographic narrative based on speculation and projection.
Assuming the life she might have lived and the form her presence might have taken, I project these possibilities onto the figures of others who could have been her.

Rather than functioning as portraits of an individual, the photographs operate as records of an interrupted life and suspended time, examining how absence can be visualized and how unrealized lives may be reconstructed through photographic imagination.
